Welcome to all the St. Mary's students and families. I am the Spanish teacher for Grades Three through Eight. Spanish is spoken in so many of our states. In some states it is the number one language!

The students begin their study of Spanish by listening and repeating the vocabulary. They listen to the native language by viewing lessons on the Smart Board. They also learn some songs and play games (Bingo, matching games).

In Grades Four through Six, the students continue to speak the language. Workbooks help the students to begin writing in Spanish.

In the Junior High, the skills of speaking, reading and writing are practiced each day.

Each year the students progress in their skills. Upon completion of Grade Eight, they are proficient in the language.
