Ways to Give

Mrs. Corinne Harutunian - Resource Room

As the resource room teacher at St. Mary's, I strive to serve the needs of many students. While my primary function is to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), I am here to help the entire student body. I provide pull-out services for children who need alternative methods of instruction, and I work in classrooms to help students develop strategies that will enable them to be successful.  I also confer with teachers and parents if there is a  concern about any child.

If you have some concerns about your child, your child's teacher is your best resource. However, if you need a second opinion or more information, please call me.

I am constantly reading professional material and books written to help parents.  When I come across a book I believe is helpful, I post the title here.  So check back often to see my recommendations.

How to Reach and Teach Teenagers with ADHD by Grad L. Flick, Ph.D. is an excellent resource for parents and teachers.  Coping with the changes of adolescence in conjunction with the challenges ADHD brings can be overwhelming.  This book gives some very practical and specific advice.  Feel free to borrow my copy!
