Ways to Give

No Bullying Policy

St. Mary's School has a strict No Bullying Policy. We believe that every child has the right to attend school in a secure, nurturing environment. To this end, teachers seek to develop a positive class identity and an atmosphere of cooperation and helpfulness, rather than one of competition. Classes discuss in detail conduct that is inappropriate and the effects of unkind words or actions.  Bullying can include, but is not limited to, insults, name calling, threats, teasing, intimidating, pushing, shoving, kicking, spreading rumors, destroying someone’s belongings, ignoring or excluding someone, writing any negative or threatening comments to or about another person.

Throughout the first weeks of school, class rules against bullying are posted as well as consequences for such actions. Students and parents sign pledges which attest to their participation in this program.

Our policy is in compliance with the Laws and Regulations about Bullying and Cyberbullying.   The entire Staff demands that all students behave appropriately and treat others with civility and respect.  Bullying, Cyber-Bullying and Retaliation will not be tolerated.
