Giving Opportunities

Thank you for considering a gift to benefit St. Mary's School.  With 100 plus years of history, our school has withstood the test of time.  Its longevity is in no small part due to the generous support of alumni, friends, community members, faculty and staff and parents.

We have many ambitious goals to ensure that our students continue to receive the very best Catholic education possible.  Will you please help us?   St. Mary’s School has several giving opportunities available for donors to consider.  For more information, contact us at alumni@stmaryschoolmelrose.org or call 781-665-5037.

Student Support Fund.  In these challenging economic times, families who choose St. Mary’s School cannot always afford tuition for their children.  A sudden job loss often throws a family’s financial stability into turmoil.  While the school has always provided scholarship assistance to students in need, we continue to receive more requests than we can accommodate.  A gift of $2,500 will cover the tuition for ˝ year for a student or $5,000 for a full year.

Technology Fund.  Some of our important traditions may not have changed, but our use of technology assuredly has.  To ensure that our students succeed in the 21st Century, St. Mary’s School must remain on the cutting edge of technology.  Our detailed technology plan, estimated at $285,000, calls for a variety of SMART Technology tools including hand-held student assessment devices and interactive, multi-user Touch Tables for primary classrooms. Our plans also call for Apple iPads which offer excellent applications for student research.

Capital Improvement Fund.  Our buildings and grounds reflect our proud tradition of excellence.  At the same time we recognize that we must have a proactive plan of renovation, restoration and preventative maintenance.   Please refer back to this website in the coming months for more information on our specific needs and financial resources needed.

General Fund.  If you want to help St. Mary’s to meet its most pressing current needs, consider a gift to the General Fund.  Whether for plumbing, heating, snow removal, furniture replacement or supplies for teachers, this fund helps to keep the school running on a day to day basis.

Check out our Ways to Give page for information on the types of gifts the school accepts.
