| Fourth grade is a year of incredible growth, both socially and academically, and throughout this journey I hope to build a strong community of learners. As fourth graders, students take on more responsibility and challenges, but learn how to balance the curricular work with social interaction. My goal is to strengthen and model the character values that are representative of a Catholic education, as well as enrich their minds academically. Some focal points of the year are to become fluent and develop a love of reading, to explore avenues of creativity through the John Collins writing process, and to develop a deeper understanding of the Beatitudes and Ten Commandments. In addition, students will explore the regions of the United States in Social Studies, master a variety of computational skills in Math, and explore some of the Earth's properties by using investigative techniques in Science.
