Mrs. Claire Belanger - 2B

Welcome to 2B!
Hello my name is Mrs. Belanger.  This is my 16th year teaching at St. Mary's School and my third year teaching second grade.   Second grade is special because we receive two sacraments during the year: Reconciliation and First Communion.  As we prepare to receive these sacraments, we learn more about the teachings of Jesus which help us to be one family,  one class, and one school community.
Your Reading and Math skills will become much stronger this year.  In fact, you will find that reading is so important  that you will be required to read aloud to someone every night.  I have a great book for us to get started on that.  In Math we are going  to practice addition and subtraction facts, learn to tell time and to use money in real situations.

I look forward to spending this year with all of you.  Watching each of you grow spiritually, academically, physically, and socially. We will have  a fun-filled learning experience.
