Welcome to St. Mary's School
St. Mary’s School in Melrose has a long history of faith formation, academic excellence and life-long learning. The Sisters of the Holy Child Jesus, who came to St. Mary’s in 1909, brought with them an educational vision designed to help students grow in their faith, to develop their talents and to promote a generous sense of social responsibility. History has shown that the Sisters have achieved that goal by the dedication and success of the hundreds of alumni that have graduated from our school. A St. Mary’s education is rich in the life-giving graces of this legacy; its tradition continues to leave a significant spiritual and educational footprint across Melrose. The challenges of today’s world remind us how important it is to ground ourselves and our children in our faith. With Jesus, the master teacher leading the way, the road is clear and paved for us.
We cherish the traditions and legacy of the past here at St. Mary’s School in Melrose. With the support and collaboration of students, parents, faculty and administrators, we will continue this great story for many years to come.
